11/4/18, Christmas Shopping

Hello, Everyone!

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet, or are you like me and wait until the last minute? I’m usually in the mood to shop on Christmas Eve, which is way too late to start. Many of my friends shop all year long. That would never work for me. I’d forget who I shopped for and where I stored the gifts. I could use a little organization in my life. I’m grateful for online shopping. With a click of the mouse, I can complete my entire list. I just have to make sure I click the mouse so the gifts have plenty of time to reach their destinations before Christmas day!

What about getting into the Christmas spirit? Do you watch a Christmas movie, listen to Christmas carols or read a Christmas book? In my story, Christmas Kiss, a story in the ‘Tis the Season Christmas anthology, Vera returns to her grandmother’s hometown of Blue Heron, South Carolina. She’s getting into the Christmas spirit by decorating the Christmas tree when Darroch Winters comes storming into her life and into her grandmother’s home. Getting into the Christmas spirit becomes even more of a challenge when a rare snowstorm hits the area and downs the power lines.

Does it snow in your part of the world? Is a white Christmas unusual or is it the norm? In our area, we have plenty of cold and snow, though some years we have more snow than others. Having a white Christmas doesn’t always happen, but when it does, it’s fun to watch the snow fall from inside a warm house and sip spiced tea while my dear husband clears the driveway and the sidewalks. That’s the best Christmas present of all!

I hope you have a wonderful week, and if you’re checking off those items on your Christmas shopping list, I hope it’s a wonderful time for you!

Love,

Laura
