With six children, I’m not sure how my mother managed. She raised us and worked full time, but she always had a smile on her face.

We tried to make Mother’s Day special for our mother. With Dad’s help, we’d cook breakfast for her and then crowd on the bed to watch her open the gifts we made for her. Her excitement at the little gifts warmed our hearts. Thankfully, Dad gave her something nice. Many of these gifts I still have, and seeing these reminds me of the fond memories I have of Mother’s Days pasts
