4/5/20, Extra, Extra!

Background Actors

Extra, Extra! That’s another word for background actors, and what are those? The people you see in a movie or on television who are supposed to blend into the background and not be noticed.

Extra, Extra!

The extras are critical for making a scene look real. You can’t film a scene in New York and not have thousands of people moving along the sidewalk. What about those kids sitting in a classroom? They look at each other and laugh or take a test or look recalcitrant―whatever the director wants.

Those Bikini Babes

Or how about a beach scene? Ever notice the volleyball game in the background or the row of beauties sunbathing on the beach? They earn money to be in the background.

Struggling Actors

Addison Duvall, the heroine in Call It Love, Book 3 of the Beaumont Brides Series, works as an extra while she hustles between auditions. She’ll take what she can get and working as an extra in the hot new spy film. No one notices the extras. Little wonder, she’s shocked when Spencer Kingsley, the film’s star notices her. When they’re on the set together, sparks fly. They can’t fight their onscreen chemistry that moves behind the camera.

I had so much fun writing this story. Addison and Spencer have the love story that definitely belongs in a Hollywood film. I hope you’ll check out Call It Love, a sweet romance that delves into the machinations of a film and tells the tale of a love that warms the heart.

Please take care during this volatile time. My prayers go out daily for you and your loved ones that you are healthy and safe. God bless!

Love,

Laura
