Hello, Everyone!
I hope life is treating you well and that you’re staying warm if you live in my part of the world. During this time of year, I miss the days when we lived in California. The weather was comfortable—no hot and cold extremes—and it was wonderful to escape to the beach whenever I longed to hear the ocean.
California has many beautiful beach communities. Malibu is one of my favorites though way out of my price range. The beaches are beautiful as well as the luxury homes lining the beaches and dotting the hillside. For many years, it’s been an enclave for the rich and famous.
But living in Malibu also has its downside. We’ve all heard the stories about the fires that have stormed through the community and destroyed the majestic homes that seem stalwart as they keep vigil along the coast. Nothing can compete with the force of Mother Nature.
When I wrote Risking Her Heart, Book 5 of the Crystal Creek Series, I was happy when the story took me back to California, the lovely beaches and where everyone is beautiful even the maids and the pool boys. Let’s face it, everyone wants to be a movie star, but with such fierce competition, you need to exercise every opportunity you can find.
Giselle Whitloch has worked hard to achieve her status as one of Hollywood’s leading ladies but she wants to make movies not star in them. Her perfect opportunity comes when she wins the movie option for the number one bestselling novel of the decade. Only one problem, Trent Parker. He’ll stop at nothing to make sure the film is never made.
The battle between Trent and Giselle heats up, but Mother Nature has her own ideas about the force the Malibu beach community must endure. It isn’t Trent and nature Giselle must battle. Someone is out for vengeance and now Giselle’s in for the fight of her life.
Here’s hoping you have a wonderful February. After all, it is the month of love, and that your week ahead is filled with wonderful and exciting things that make you smile!
Love,
Laura
